Solar Cost Calculations

As an intern with the non-profit startup Go Electric, I conducted in-depth research on the cost of residential solar energy systems. I worked closely with the founder, meeting weekly to receive updated guidance and refine the scope of the research based on evolving project needs. My work culminated in the development of a calculator used at a public tabling event, where individuals could input personalized data—such as monthly electricity usage, average utility costs, roof size and solar potential, and local tax incentives. They could then see their estimated solar buyback period, helping them understand how long it would take to recoup their investment in solar energy.
